House Rules

Dear guests,

It was with great joy and a lot of effort that we renovated our house, and in the former granny flat we have created a lovely retreat for you. Like the rest of the house, this area is furnished to a high standard and with great attention to detail. It is very important to us that all of our guests feel comfortable at all times.

We therefore ask you to treat your accommodation with care and consideration, and with the same respect you show your own home. You make a significant contribution to our being able to offer you and other guests a great temporary home.

Our house rules are intended as a guide to a considerate coexistence. If anything is unclear or if you are missing something, please contact us.

Smoking

As much love as we have invested in our house, nature is just as close to our hearts. Step by step, we are turning our green paradise into a natural garden, to give as many animals and insects as possible a home.

Thank you for your understanding that smoking is therefore not permitted in the house or in the garden!

Safety I

Your safety and ours is important to us. For this reason, the building is monitored by video cameras.

The entrance door has a high-quality security lock. When leaving the house, please lock the front door with the key and do not forget to close the windows, to prevent burglary and weather damage.

Should you lose the key, please let us know immediately. Please understand that in this case we will have to charge you for the cost of replacement.

Safety II

There is a smoke detector in the guest room, and we have also provided a fire extinguisher (behind the bed in the open wardrobe).

We accept no liability for our guests’ personal belongings and valuables.

We reserve the right to enter the guest room during your stay, e.g. in case of imminent danger or necessary repairs.

Environment

Environmental protection and sustainability are very important to us!

We therefore ask you to use water and electricity sparingly. Please make sure that the lights and all electronic devices such as the TV, coffee machine and induction hob are switched off when you leave the accommodation.

Everyone can make a valuable contribution to environmental protection by separating waste correctly. Recycling valuable materials reduces the consumption of natural resources such as wood and crude oil. The waste bins are located in the kitchen under the sink. You can separate your waste here.

To avoid unpleasant blockages, please do not put food scraps, fats, oils, harmful liquids etc. into the toilet, the sink or the shower. Likewise, no hygiene products may be disposed of via the toilet. Please use the waste bins provided for this.

Damage

A small mishap can happen quickly and something gets broken or damaged. In this case, please inform us promptly.

We have fitted the guest room with high-quality real-wood parquet, oiled smoked oak. Should water or any other liquid ever get onto the floor, please wipe it up immediately.

Quiet hours / Overnight guests

Here, far outside the city gates, we and our neighbours enjoy the idyll. We therefore ask you to observe the general quiet hours – midday, night-time and Sunday rest – and to avoid noise.

And please understand that overnight stays at quartier26 are not permitted for persons who have not been registered.

Pets

As we also want to let our accommodation to people with allergies, we unfortunately cannot accept pets.

Parking

You can park on the street free of charge.

Arrival and departure

On the day of arrival, check-in is possible from 4 p.m.

On the day of departure, we ask you to leave the accommodation by 10 a.m. This gives us enough time to make sure every guest finds a clean and disinfected guest room.

Kitchen

We are happy to provide a small but well-equipped kitchenette.

For coffee and tea lovers, we have provided a small selection of different varieties. You will find short instructions for the Nespresso machine directly behind the machine.

There is a small fridge at the bottom right of the cupboard.

In the wall cupboard above you will find an induction hob with a pot and a pan. Please make sure the induction hob is switched off after use, or pull the plug out of the socket – thank you! And please do not place a hot pot or pan directly on the worktop or the table, to avoid unsightly burn marks.

Please use the chopping board for cutting vegetables, fruit etc., so that unsightly scratches on the worktop are avoided.

And please only put cleaned and dried crockery and cutlery back into the cupboards. Sufficient cleaning products are available for you.

You will find the waste bins in the large drawer under the sink. You can separate your waste here. The small drawer above contains new bin bags and other useful household items.

Ventilation

For fresh oxygen, a good indoor climate, to prevent mould and also to help protect against infection, please air the guest room – even in the cold season. Several times a day, open the windows wide for a short but sufficient time (approx. 5 to 10 minutes).

TV

Please remember to set the TV to a maximum of room volume.
